Not Your Mothers - Smooth Moves

I received a sample of Not Your Mothers Smooth Moves in my Influenster Beauty Blogger voxbox. I'm a bit of a hoarder when it comes to styling products, I have salon brands, and drug store brands, and anything in between! I really love Not Your Mothers Smooth Moves, it is a frizz control hair cream that smells like vanilla and coconuts!  I have been using it for almost a month now, and I have tried to buy a full size bottle, but my local Walmart was sold out, I did pick up a volume spray (more on that in a different post).

Since I have cut my hair off again, I keep the front straight and I blow out the back and crown area to get volume and height. Smooth moves has been a great addition to my product collection. It smooths my hair removes frizz but doesn't get crunchy, doesn't leave "wet" spots, and most importantly to mee doesn't make my hair greasey!

My local Walmart sells Not Your Mothers products for $4.94! Yes that is $4.94, I spend more than that on nail polish! I highly recommend adding Not Your Mothers to your hair care products.

Once my local Walmart restocks I will be picking up a full size bottle of Smooth Moves.

I've been busy with work and reorganizing all my makeup and nail polish storage. I started putting a nail kit together, and the most epic of projects which I'm not even halfway done with is swatching out my nail polishes onto spoons!

So far ALL of my nail polish is in the Helmers with room to grow. I have most of my nail supplies in here as well. I also have a fishing tackle box (you will see) that holds most of my kit supplies, for gels, acrylics and nail art stuffs.

I've got helmers!

Two beautiful shiny red ones! I know I know in my last post about Ikea I said I wasn't going to get the Helmers for my nail polish, and I have really been kicking myself since April for not getting at least one then. I have approx 400 bottles of nail polish (At the time of this post I don't have a full count). Right now my Helmers are set up by brands, but I'm still moving things around. I am in the process of sorting out all of my nail storage. One helmer is full strickly with polish and the other has overflow polish, and then supplies.

My goal for when we move is to have Multiple Helmers for my nail set up, along with a manicuring table. I would love nothing more than to have helmers for polish only, nail art supplies, mani/pedi supplies, gel/acrylics supplies. Yes yes I know that is like a zillion helmers, but I love these little cabinets! plus it is super easy to move a drawer from one to the other. and for something so small they fit A LOT!

I have plans to get more for other storage needs once I no longer live with my mom, I have big big plans for these little helmers! I'm sure I'll end up with a second 9 drawer alex since the one I have is almost full of makeup now!

OH I almost forgot I picked up 11 (I meant to buy 10, but in my excitement of shopping in Ikea I forgot how to count) antonius inserts, they are $3 each, but being that Ikea doesn't ship them and well Ikea is about an hour and a half away, which doesn't sound like much but when you have to take the parkway to the turnpike its far! So I will plot and plan my trips to get the most bang for my trip! I also picked up the rationell variera drawer liner, I bought 2 rolls, and I think I only used a roll and a half so far.

This was only my second trip to Ikea, but I have a tip for newbies like myself to shopping in Ikea! The store can be overwhelming, because they are well HUGE and you will want to look at everything! I created a shopping list on Ikea's website, then I printed it out, and when I printed it out I sorted based on where my items would be located in the self service area. Most of the smaller items were just listed, but the Helmers and Antonius units were in the self service area so they had they Aisle and Bin numbers already. Also if you plan on buying smaller items, bring bags, you don't get shopping bags from Ikea, I didn't know this (stop laughing veteran Ikea shoppers).

Lets start with my blogs name.....I feel like I don't like it! I have already changed it once and I want to change it again.

Getting back to posting!

I have some great news! I passed my Cosmetology Exam! So with that being said I will be getting back to posting.

Plus my work schedule has started to level out.

Where are all the posts?

Sorry for the long delay in posts. The last few weeks have been a little crazy for me. I am in the middle of having a lot of dental work done, I lost a job, then started a new job with more hours, and on top of everything I am going for my state board practical exam for my cosmo license on July 30th. So my posts may be few and far between until after my exam. I will do my best to catch up on everything that I have put on the back burners.

Sorry for well going quiet again.

Today while in Rite Aid in Brick, NJ I picked up 3 packs of Sally Hansen Salon Effects on Clearance! I will be doing a full post with pictures soon. I really wanted to spread the word in case it takes me a few days to get the post up.

I picked up 808 Running Wild, 807 Headbanger, and 801 Sound Check! Each were on clearance for $2.49! They had a bunch more in the bins by the front door but I picked my top 3 favs.

OK OK so for this price I may have to make another trip! I mean $2.49!!!! They retail for $9.79 at Rite Aid and $8.50 at Target.

I don't know what I love more red lips or matte red lips. I picked up 3 more NYX Matte lipsticks from Harmons. I am so in love with these matte lipsticks. 

I already had NYX Shocking Pink Matte lipstick and just love it. Plus wear time is just amazing. BUT because they are matte a smooth lip is a must, so I would recommend using a lip scrub (which I still need), a primer like MAC prep and prime or just basic chapstick works well too.

Oh Wet n Wild how I love thee! I am no stranger to Wet N Wild, I'm sure you have seen that on my blog. Well while in Kmart hunting down Dollhouse Pink, I snagged a *cough* few of its friends to come home with me. The Mega shield Lipsticks actually have SPF 15 and normally cost $2.99, but the ones in Kmart had $1 instant off coupons, so I got them for $1.99 too!!! In total I picked up 14 lipsticks (I bought a back up of Dollhouse pink since I had such a hard time finding it) 6 Mega Shields and 7 of the Mega Last.

I love blushes! Pink blushes the most! Well where do I begin on my journey to get this blush. We spotted it in Walgreens it was $13.99....ok I'll wait for a sale. Then Hubby says I'll treat, go back to said Walgreens, and its gone! Four Walgreens later still couldn't find it. We ended up finding it in Harmons for $10 and change! WOOHOO!

I love Milani baked shadows because it is like having 2 shadows in one, since when used dry you get one effect and while used wet you get a second. I've always had a wonderful experience with Milani shadows as far as wear time and ease of blending.

Another great polish for a great deal! NYC Long Wearing nail polish is $0.99 in CVS, can't beat that price! I picked this up because it was close in color to a Revlon polish, but was much cheaper! Fuchsia Shock is a creme polish that is just packed with pigment! I have a few other NYC Long Wearing polishes and the wear time on them is pretty good. Like I've said before I abuse my nails and I have even chipped gels!

Monthly Haul Videos

In March and April I filmed videos for my makeup purchases and nail polish purchases for those months. Starting at the end of May I will be doing the videos as my favorite products, now depending on how much I use/buy for the month it may still be two videos; one for makeup and one for nails.

The reason why I'm changing what I'm filming is because it just seems like double information since I post up a the very least swatches for every new make up/nail product I buy. I may still do a summary on here, to show where I purchased products and how much I paid for them. Plus you will all get to see how crazy I am and how much I buy in a single month.
