TKB Trading April Haul

This is my latest TKB Trading order. I really love TKB Trading, their prices are awesome, and the quaility of product is always wonderful. Plus they are always so helpful if you have any questions!
In this order I purchased 24 tablespoon samples, 3 teaspoon samples, and 1 ounce, 10 clear lids for the 25 gram jars and even after shipping and the extra $6 for the rush order, my cost was still under $70!!!

I love Target! Whenever I go there I always look in the dollar section, sometimes I find great things, and this time I picked up a ceramic pot for $2.50! And its pink! I filled it with floral fill from Michaels, now my brushes have a new home!

This little kit is so nifty! I am a fair skinned red head who colors her hair dark about 95% of the time, so with that I need to color my brows darker. I don't like the idea of coloring my brows with hair color because I change my hair color quite often, in fact I'm working on a new color (I will post pics next week depending on how it comes out!)

Why I review the brands I do.

So you may have noticed a lot of drug store makeup brands being reviewed here by me. It isn't that I dislike high end brands, in fact I love MAC, and have a nice small collection going. I even own some other "high end" brands, but while I love them my wallet....well doesn't. I am a working cosmetologist, and I'm awaiting to take my state board practical exam, once I complete that and get my actual license I will be able to get enroll in discount programs from the major "high end" brands. Which will enable me to purchase more of those brands.

Where to begin with these? I guess I will start with the color payoff, which is good, not great but good. They do require a little building, but for a lipgloss that can be expected. Now for the wear time, I didn't get 8 hours, I got maybe 4 hours, and that was with eating, drinking, and smoking. So maybe if I did none of those things it would have lasted 8 hours?

Milani Haute Flash Full Coverage Shimmer Lipgloss live up to their name! I currently own 4 and plan on buying the rest to finish out the collection and will buy any new colors. Lately I love lipglosses, which is a huge turn around for me, since to be honest I loathed lipgloss, the thought of the sticky nastyness that so many lipglosses had made me gag. While Haute Flash's do have some stickiness to them, they aren't things my nightmares are made of. The color payout is opaque and wonderful! They are packed with glitter, but thankfully the glitter doesn't end up all over my face. I have worn these alone and layered with lipstick and lip tars, and overall they are wonderful and are a must have in my beauty bag.

Both Island Coral and Cha Cha Red don't live up to their names, since both are shades of pink, not coral and not red. That being said the colors are wonderful and both have a creme finish. Cha Cha Red had a little ring around the handle of the bottle.

Lets start with In the Spotlight, this is a silver confetti glitter in a clear jelly. This was a HUGE PITA! But as with any large sized glitter polish I expected it, so the plopping method comes into play during application.

Oh pink shimmery goodness! If I were to post my entire nail polish collection you would see a big theme: PINK! So it was no surprise to my husband when I picked up another bottle of pink polish.

LA City Nights

LA City Nights is purple and blue micro fine glitter in a clear base. I swatched it out with 2 coats, which gave almost opaque coverage. I always love the color combination of purple and blue glitter so this was a must have for me. To layer I would use just one coat, otherwise you run the chance of losing the base color, unless that is your desired look.
